This full-time, clinically-focused position is embedded within dynamic & warm pediatric healthcare teams across inpatient and outpatient settings.

We are seeking a team-oriented and flexible pediatric psychologist to provide evidence-based, culturally-responsive clinical services to a diverse population of pediatric patients. The psychologist will serve within the Outpatient Pediatric Psychology Clinic, in addition to providing consultation services in one of our integrated settings.
The Outpatient Pediatric Psychology Clinic is co-located alongside multiple pediatric subspecialties within Hurley's West-Flint Campus. Pediatric psychology coordinates closely with diverse medical specialties to provide outpatient assessment and therapeutic intervention services; addressing a variety of pediatric clinical-health presenting problems including, but not limited to, neurodevelopmental presentations, functional and somatic symptoms, adjustment to chronic medical conditions, medical adherence, sleep difficulties, nonpharmacologic pain management, encopresis & enuresis, and health-compromising feeding/eating concerns.
Pediatric Psychology Integrated Services
The Inpatient Consultation/Liaison Service operates within Hurley Children’s Hospital, a 42-bed children’s-designated hospital within Hurley Medical Center. Collaborating closely with a team of pediatric medical residents, hospitalists, intensivists, subspecialists, nurses, social workers, case managers, dieticians, and child life specialists, Pediatric Psychology serves the general pediatrics and pediatric intensive care units. Consultations cover a broad range of clinical, developmental and health psychology presentations for patients admitted to the Children’s Hospital.
The Pediatric Integrated Primary Care Service is embedded within Hurley Children’s Center, located at the heart of the city and directly above Flint’s bustling Farmer’s Market. Pediatric Psychology is fully integrated into the Michigan State University-affiliated pediatric residency continuity clinic and adolescent medicine clinic. Sharing a large common workroom alongside residents, attendings, nurses, social workers, and a dietitian, the psychologist provides tailored primary care behavioral health (PCBH) services including consultation, assessment, triage, and brief intervention.

Qualifications
● Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA or CPA-accredited clinical, counseling, or school psychology program. Pre-doctoral internship from an APA or CPA-accredited program and completion of post-doctoral training emphasizing pediatric psychology, health psychology and/or child/adolescent clinical psychology
● Applicants must be licensed or license-eligible as a doctoral level psychologist in Michigan
● Minimum 3 years of training and experience in collaborative/integrated behavioral health settings and working with pediatric health psychology presentations
