The Hurlbut Nursing Home is a160 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Henrietta, NY, is looking for and creative Activity Assistant to join our team!

This is a Full-Time position! Hours to be 10am - 6p with every other weekend commitment. Weekend hours to be 9am - 5pm

The Activities Assistant is responsible for creating and implementing an activities program that promotes meaningful life experiences for our residents.

Requirements and Duties:

• Documentation-MDS attendance utilizing our Electronic Medical Records system
• Assisting resident to and from activity programs
• Liaison between the Activity Department, residents and Activity Director
• Encourage, run and monitor activity programs
• Preparation for scheduled activities
• Assist in special event planning for our residents
• Work with residents with non-pharmacological approaches to care
• Be Dependable, professional and kind at all times
• Work with other staff with meal delivery in the evening
• Ability to work independently at times
• Ability to multi-task

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Experience:
