The HT Group is Hiring a QC Technician Near Austin, TX

The HT Group is partnering with a beverage development and flavoring company to find a QC Technician! This person will be responsible for the evaluation and testing of all incoming raw materials and production batches to ensure product specifications are met. W are looking for candidates with hands-on laboratory experience and a strong understanding of QA/QC for flavors and/or food.
Direct Hire | Comp 58-75k DOE | South Austin/Kyle TX (Onsite)
Responsibilities
  • Support daily operations of QA/QC team
  • Conduct and document organoleptic testing of intermediates and finished products for approval
  • Document sensory evaluations of incoming raw materials
  • Administer QC Hold program for out-of-spec batches, determining corrective actions
  • Assist with evaluating pre-shipment samples of raw materials
  • Perform particle size analysis for selected finished products
  • Prepare samples for allergen and microbiological testing
  • Generate Packing Lists and COAs before order shipment
  • Inspect outgoing shipments for order count, labeling accuracy, and address verification
  • Conduct compound stability tests and occasionally prepare lab samples for evaluation
  • Evaluate on-hand inventory and customer samples for potential shelf life extensions
  • Assist Regulatory with COA and SDS document requests
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience in flavoring/food/FDA environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety
  • Background in food science highly preferred
  • Familiarity of HACCP, GMPs, and SOPs
  • Highly attentive to detail and tech savvy
