We are seeking The best of the best for the newest boutique hotel in Glendale! We need a good maintenance engineer and Room Attendants / Housekeepers to become a part of our team! You will accommodate patrons, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

The Hotel Serene is seeking a motivated maintenance worker to join our team! This role will provide general maintenance for the hotel while assisting with various projects and repairs in the evenings and on weekends.

Duties:

• Be the main technician of the hotel executing the maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms to include: tile repair, touch up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repairs, electrical and A/C repairs, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, swimming pool and lake area
• Perform plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair, preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply; monitor energy conservation
• Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause - determine emergency status and report to the Front Desk with findings.
• Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Skills:

• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

\Room Attendant / Housekeeper Responsibilities:

• REPORTS TO: Executive Housekeeper

  Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Clean guestrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas to meet health standards.

  2. Clean upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.

  3. Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.

  4. Dust and polish furniture and equipment.

  5. Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.

  6. Use only approved chemicals and follow all hotel safety standards.

  7. Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.

  8. Sort, count, and mark clean linens, and store them in linen closets.

  9. Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.

  10. Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.

  11. Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.

  12. Complete 16 rooms per day per hotel standards established by hotel management.
