Summary

The Health Unit Coordinator provides clerical support and receptionist duties to enhance the unit’s flow and delivery of patient care. Assists the nurse in transporting medications/blood products to and from the unit.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Technical or Vocational training.

Required Licenses/Certifications

Current BLS for health care providers 

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Preferred HUC training or previous experience as a HUC.

Competent skills reflected in Windows and Word Perfect/ (bilingual-English/Spanish preferred).
