Summary

The PCT I assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to the patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and / or unit.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Nursing Assistant Certification or a minimum 1 year of experience performing nursing assistant duties in acute care nursing / hospital setting.

Required Licenses / Certifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification is preferred but not required.
• Current BLS for health care providers from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification Required
• Newly hired Nurses must obtain certification within 6 months of Date of Hire.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge and skills. Ability to use computer driven patient care equipment.
