Position Summary

Plans, organizes, coordinates and administers evaluations and treatments of patients referred to Speech Therapy requiring the knowledge and skills of a specialist. Supervises the work of support personnel. Participates in the planning and implementation of new services and staff development programs.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Master Degree in Speech Language Pathology

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist or Intern by the state of practice
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association or in Clinical Fellowship Year as per ASHA guidelines (CFY), which will result in a Certificate of Clinical Competence after the requisite number of hours and time period have been completed favorably.
• Current CPR Certification from The American Heart Association (AHA)

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: 2-3 years dysphagia experience preferred. Fluency in English, both verbal and written. Preferred fluency in Spanish (may become a required job standard depending on the facility caseload).
