Summary

Performs and monitors echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound) procedures.Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram.

Qualifications

Education

Required: Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography School

Experience

Required: 6 months in clinical settingPreferred: 2 years

Certifications

Required: Registry eligible and BLS.Preferred: RDMS or RDCS
