The Role

Honest is looking for a Print/Packaging Contractor to execute and lead print and product packaging across our baby and beauty studios. We’re a collaborative, fast moving, fast evolving, creative team on the cutting edge of clean/sustainable beauty, baby, and personal care. We’re looking for someone with 7 years of experience designing packaging in a variety of industries for retail shelves. This person in connection with our art director, project managers, and production artists will be responsible for managing design and production of all printed materials.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Produce beautiful and converting design collateral for a suite of products across baby, personal care, and beauty industries
• Provide conceptual, design, and copy direction as appropriate for product packaging
• Maintain a consistent brand identity/experience across lineup of products
• Work collaboratively with the Product Development and Marketing teams to produce innovative designs for full size, sample size and seasonal products
• Conceptualize and Communicate design strategy creatively and with impeccable clarity

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 7 years of professional design experience, particularly with CPG packaging
• Expert understanding of product packaging design
• Expert understanding of printing processes, during preflight as well as production and press checks
• Proven ability in decisively executing effective product packaging that convert customers at store shelves.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign. CMYK color space, pantone, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working for high performing Beauty or Baby brands.
• Illustration abilities
• Extensive knowledge of creating and laying out patterns
• LA based, we’re in Playa Vista. We are partially remote and open to fully remote candidates on the west coast.
• Manager experience within a packaging/print team environment

CompensationThe pay range for this role is $57.69 - $76.92 per hour / 40 hours a week expected. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
