Job Title: Transportation
This candidate is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of residents to and from
their appointments, errands, and other activities. As a member of the community’s support staff, the
Transportation Staff plays a vital role in ensuring that residents are able to maintain their independence
and continue to engage with the community. Above all, you will exhibit a passion for serving seniors
while contributing to the positive environment our residents are proud to call home.
- Provide safe and timely transportation for residents to and from appointments, errands, and other
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the transportation vehicle(s);
- Assist residents with getting in and out of the transportation vehicle, as needed;
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation related to transportation is completed
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with residents, their families, and
- Notify the appropriate staff members of any concerns related to the transportation of residents;
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on the transportation vehicle(s), as required;
- Communicate effectively with residents and staff to ensure that transportation needs are being met;
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to the transportation of residents;
- Seek out and perform other duties as assigned or needed;
- Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA policies;
- Understands the mission of Homeplace is to ensure quality care and services are being delivered to
- Assist with maintenance such as but not limited to janitorial tasks, grounds keeping, preventative
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Previous experience working in transportation or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families, and staff.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings and weekends.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
