The Homeless Coalition is Hiring a Facilities Coordinator Near Port Charlotte, FL

Position Title: Facilities Coordinator

Position/Job Summary:

The Facilities Coordinator position is responsible for facility maintenance oversight to ensure the safe, smooth operation of the Homeless Coalition and Fabulous Finds Re-Sale Shop and Unique Boutique. This includes but is not limited to supply management, minor repairs, beautification, and maintaining the sanitary condition of all Homeless Coalition and Fabulous Finds facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Arrange and direct the appropriate storage and distribution of supplies, while maintaining an ongoing supply inventory.
  • Serve as point-of-contact for facility vendors and licensed contractors.
  • Complete repairs that do not require a licensed contractor. The Facility Coordinator must be able to troubleshoot common facility repairs including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
  • Implement a preventative maintenance plan for all facilities.
  • Maintain safety standards throughout all storage areas.
  • Manage cleaning and upkeep of all Homeless Coalition buildings, including Fabulous Finds.
  • Execute ground maintenance for both properties.
  • Coordinate delivery of supplies and donations, as needed for efficient operation.
  • Supervise community service volunteers, as applicable.
  • Participate in staff meetings and staff development sessions as appropriate.
  • Work with staff and volunteers in a way that is respectful and positive to reflect the Homeless Coalition image.
  • Treat clients in a manner that is respectful of their independence and dignity.
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned.
  • On-call for facility emergencies, as needed.

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

3 years of relevant training and experience, which demonstrates the knowledge and skill to perform the duties and responsibilities as described. The duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.

This position requires satisfactory approval through the DCF level II background check process by the state of Florida and will require renewal every 5 years.
