IT Support Specialist

We are partnering with a full-service technology solutions firm in Tampa, FL in its search for a client-focused IT Support Specialist. The ideal candidate for this position will have robust experience supporting end users and knowledge of the IT environment to maintain a high standard of client satisfaction. This is an onsite, contract-to-hire position.

Applicants must be able to work onsite in Tampa, FL (8 am – 5 pm, M-F) with up to 30% travel to U.S. clients to be eligible for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Support assigned clients’ end-users with thorough troubleshooting, consistent responsiveness, and quick turnaround
• Configure and support servers, workstations (Windows & Mac), printers, and other technologies such as routers, switches, and firewalls
• Perform backups and recovery, support networks and virtual environments
• Collaborate and maintain relationships with VoIP and other technology vendors
• Interact with customers and teams in a professional manner, communicating effectively to efficiently deliver solutions
• Document daily work through ticketing system, knowledge base, and Visio diagrams
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues remotely and/or on-site
• Assist with new client onboarding

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in the Information Technology services field
• 2 years in network support and management working with varied environments
• Thorough understanding of virtualization (VMWare ESXi) infrastructure
• Solid knowledge of network protocols and fundamentals required
• Experience in Security Appliance (firewall) and VPN setups
• Exchange Server 2010/2013/2016/2019 background preferred
• Windows Server 2008 R2/2012/2016/2019/2022
• Robust experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Products
• Cloud Infrastructure (Microsoft Azure / AWS) preferred
• Active Directory/Group Policy
• Adept professional communicator, able to adjust explanations to suit audiences with varying levels of technical understanding
• Strong independent time management and ability to prioritize responsibilities with appropriate urgency
• Must be able to work occasional after-hours support calls on a weekly rotation
