The Hinckley Company, known for building and servicing, strong, seaworthy and beautiful yachts is seeking an experienced Awlgrip Technician for our production facility in Trenton, Maine.
The Awlgrip Technician will learn, assist, and perform basic preparation for painting boat exteriors and boat parts. Learns proper use of chemicals and tools. Work is performed under close supervision of the team leader or manager.
Essential Duties
1. Tape or otherwise protect surrounding surfaces such as decks, hardware, windows from overspray during painting process.
2. Cleans, sands, and smooths surfaces, using appropriate tools, such as scrapers, sandpaper, steel wool, or chemicals.
3. Set-up and dismantle staging following OSHA staging guidelines.
4. Cleans boats and work area daily.
5. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain safe, clean work area.
6. All work to be performed to Hinckley Company quality standards.
7. Perform other related duties as necessary and assigned.
