Job Summary The Warehouse Supervisor executes their daily task as the business manager of their area of responsibility. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the Packaging operation in their area of responsibility. Provide leadership and direction for the packaging operations to ensure that products are packaged safely, on time and complete and in a cost effective manner, according to specifications and budgetary plans. Essential Job Functions Manages department workflow and adjusts resources as needed to accomplish objectives. Frequently reviews area performance data in order to provide performance analysis and trends to Packaging Manager for weekly review. Briefs supervisors and line Leads in order to provide performance feedback on work order volume and specifications to ensure that labor costs, material costs, overhead costs, and delivery objectives are being met.Compiles and posts safety, cost, and productivity data on employee communications dashboards. Facilitates and provides leadership for Continuous Improvement activities. Provides and maintains a clean and safe work environment by conducting weekly, monthly and annual safety and 5S training for all employees in the facility. Participates constructively in problem solving and process improvement activities and at a high level of quality. Maintains a thorough knowledge of processes and equipment in assigned area. Education & Experience Associates degree or the equivalent in both education and experience. Five years production supervision experience, lean manufacturing background preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of inventory control and ERP systems. Strong organization, planning and teamwork skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
