Insurance P&C Commercial Lines Marketing Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated, detailed-oriented insurance professional who possesses a strong ability to work in a team setting, meet deadlines and contribute to our growing commercial lines department. The role entails working closely with the vice president of sales/marketing for quoting, negotiating, and placing small business and middle-market commercial line accounts for new and renewal business. This role is multi-faceted and fast-paced where the individual must be knowledgeable in a variety of risks and have extensive knowledge in dealing with many different insurance company underwriters and their quoting systems.

Compensation:

$75,000 - $95,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Taking new business phone calls to get basic information when the vice president is busy or out of office, adding prospects to the agency management system
  • Setting up submissions, applications, tracking submissions, ordering loss runs as needed & linking with existing relationships
  • Using a Commercial Lines comparative rater to quote small business risks, dealing directly with underwriters of various insurers for all lines of coverage including Cyber, EPLI, IM, Professional Lines, D&O, Crime, etc.
  • Reading and reviewing proposals and coverage forms for accuracy
  • Setting up finance agreements
  • Working with accounting /CSR to get invoices set up for new business and renewals
  • Doc-u-sign applications and other documents for signature
  • Binding coverages online with insurers
  • Checking and reviewing policies to make sure the policies are issued exactly as requested.
  • Setting up EFT billing, pay-as-you-go billing with new clients for WC
  • Processing BORs, issuing binders, COI, EOP, and auto Insurance cards
  • Preparing spreadsheets and proposals for prospects and existing clients
Qualifications:
  • NYS P&C insurance license required
  • Attention to detail
  • strong follow-up
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • A High School degree required
