Our team is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician who is primarily responsible for protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the value of the community while also maximizing the living experience for our Residents. This individual must be self-motivated, be able to work independently on tasks where appropriate, complete tasks efficiently, provide quality maintenance and customer service.

The maintenance technician shall:

• Respond to work orders in a timely manner, including after hours on-call emergency requests. Participate in the on-call rotation with the rest of the Maintenance Team.
• Follow practices for the safe operation, maintenance and repairs of all facility equipment, including compliance with health, safety and OSHA programs, policies, procedures and reports.
• Assist with daily, weekly and annual inspection related tasks.
• Perform drywall repairs with full or touch-up paint.
• Repair or replace major household appliances such as washers/dryers, microwaves, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, hot water tanks and air conditioners.
• Repair or replace faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwashers, unclogging main drains and clean outs.
• Maintain grounds by pick up of all trash including cigarette butts, dog clean up and weeds; notify Management of any needed repairs to edging and broken sprinkler heads.
• Cleanup of public areas such as the playground, dog park, fire hydrants, and steps; mitigate trip hazards.
• Keep maintenance shop clean and in order, maintain inventory of parts; keep part runs to a minimum.
• Position includes shoveling and placing salt on walkways, stairs, sidewalks and handicap parking areas, adjusting work hours as needed for snow falls.
• Prepare vacant units for move-ins.
• Pool maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years' experience as Maintenance Technician in a multi-family property.
• Good understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Good physical condition and strength.
• EPA Universal certified. A CPO certificate highly desirable.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must have your own tools.
