Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Assistant to join our team. As an Family Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance in various tasks related to pregnant women and women with children under age 5. . This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of women and children in a nurturing environment.

Some of the duties include:

• Conduct rounds and facility inspections as needed. Immediately reports abnormal findings to supervisor.
• Monitors security cameras and reports any abnormal findings to the supervisor.
• Interacts with clients professionally, using open and respectful communication.
• De-escalates potentially volatile situations between clients when necessary, utilizing intervention strategies.
• Monitors client and visitor movement inside the facility.
• Responsible for rule enforcement and assisting in the daily needs of residents.
• Maintains detailed records of events that occur during the shift.
• Attends all required training, such as CPR, de-escalation, etc.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent; some experience working with the homeless, chemically dependent, or mentally disabled individuals; and effective communication and crisis intervention skills.

This position reports to Program Assistant Supervisor.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
