The Hanford Mission Integration Solutions is Hiring an Inventory control Near Richland, WA

Essential job duties and responsibilities of this position include :

  • General oversight of 442K line items valued at $23.4M of spare parts, convenience storage and general supplies inventories.
  • Oversight of general supplies inventory, including set-up of new items, placing restocking orders, and monitoring annual budget.
  • Review incoming documentation to ensure all necessary data provided is accurate.
  • Gather space requirements of incoming material to assist management in storage location decisions.
  • Responsible for the receipt of Warehouse Storage Request forms (WSR's) from various HMIS customers as well as OHC's.
  • Assess and determine storage location of materials, including oversized items based on specifications, volume, dimensions, volume of items, configuration, upcoming storage needs, and level of storage requirement, B, C, or level D. (outdoor).
  • Apprise management of storage limitations and make recommendations as needed.
  • Develop and generate various routine and ad hoc reports on inventory and inventory trends and provide the data on spare parts inventory levels and equipment held for future and time-sensitive projects to customers.
  • Be familiar with Asset Suite (asset management) and use analytics to forecast usage trends needed to adjust inventory.
  • Identify underutilized items for excess consideration, in accordance with CFR 41, 109-28.5004, with input from the material owner.
  • Support planning meetings with HMIS Spare Parts / Convenience Storage customers while coordinating with project needs.
  • Oversee any required preventive maintenance (PM) of spare parts & convenience storage items in storage and satisfy any customer and oversight inquiries of inventory records.
  • Troubleshoot inventory related issues in Asset Suite and support in house training in both systems for new design authorities, cognizant engineers, storekeepers and exempt users.
  • Research and reconcile inventory variances.
  • Perform assigned duties while recommending continuous improvement of business and safety processes for safe forklift operations and material handling.
  • Recommend improvements within the receipt, storage, preventive maintenance and issuance of spare parts, equipment held for future projects, and general supplies inventories.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA / BS degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience - OR - an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, with emphasis in Excel and Access.
  • Proficient in the Asset Suite Inventory Module or similar material tracking programs.
  • High level of attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience using Warehouse Inventory Receipt System (WIRS).
  • Working knowledge of applicable CFR regulations.
  • National Property Management Association certification.

Compensation & Benefits

Grade 15 : $78,338 - $98,813

Grade 16 : $86,138 - $108,513

Grade 17 : $94,650 - $119,250
