We are looking for qualified teachers to join our team at The Treehouse Playcare & Preschool!

We are currently hiring preschool teachers (2.5-5 year olds) The Treehouse is play and nature-based, incorporating Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf approaches.

We believe in teaching, modeling, and fostering compassion and a love for learning. We have a team teaching environment so all teachers share responsibilities equally and rotate who plans what each day.

Hours : Full time (40 hours per week)

Requirements :

A college degree in education or child development and experience working in a preschool or daycare are preferred, but a passion for early childhood education is a must!

Must have 8-12 ECE credits or enrolled in college courses and working towards that.

For lead teachers : By August 1, 2026 an ECE Initial Certificate (12 credits) is required. A short Certificate (20 credits) is needed 2 years from completing the Initial Certificate.

Before one is able to work at our preschool, there are numerous trainings and certifications that will be required (CPR / First Aid, Food handlers, 30 hours basic STARS training, background check, etc.

We also start with a 2 month paid internship / trial period just to make sure its a right fit for all parties.

Job Description :

Duties include playing, singing, reading, supervising, creating lesson plans, creating newsletters, providing daily updates through Procare, playing outside year-round (rain or shine), leading circle time, participating in small group activities, prepping snack, facilitating art projects, changing diapers, assisting in potty training, communicating with parents and coworkers, writing progress reports, parent / teacher conferences, team teaching, and maintaining professionalism.
