Location: Chicago, IL – River North
About Us: The Green Door Tavern, a Chicago institution located in River North, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to join our team. Known for our historic charm and vibrant atmosphere, The Green Door Tavern has been a destination for locals and tourists alike since 1921. The Green Door Tavern is also home to The Drifter, Chicago’s prohibition-era speakeasy specializing in classic craft cocktails and live entertainment.
Responsibilities: As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our establishment. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing and leading a team of passionate and dedicated staff
- Ensuring exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction
- Implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures
- Handling administrative tasks, such as inventory management and scheduling
- Collaborating with kitchen and front-of-house teams to streamline operations
- Developing and executing strategies to drive revenue and enhance profitability
- Upholding and promoting the unique character and ambiance of The Green Door Tavern
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume setting
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations
