POSITION TITLE: Party Host

SUPERVISOR: AQUATIC COORDINATOR

Qualifications: Individuals must be a miminum of 16 years of age, personable, responsible and able to interact, communicate and work well with children of various ages and adults.

General Duties: Arrive 45 minutes before the scheduled party start time, set up the room, greet party child, and parents and party guests and escort them to the pool (if a swim party) or to the gym where the party host will lead the children in age appropriate games/activities. At conclusion of the Activity period (1st hour) escort the group back to party room & serve food, drinks and cake. After guests leave the YMCA, the party host will clean the room and return it to the condition/set-up prior to the party.

Job Responsibilities:

· Promote the YMCA mission and follow YMCA standards

· Conduct the party in a safe manner following the YMCA rules and policies.

· Set party room prior to the start of party and return room/equipment to its proper storage area at the end of party.

· Ensure that any party balance has been paid at the Welcome desk, and the any children over the original 20 included in the party package have been paid for.

· Be in control of the party at all times, while we want the party to be fun, the party should not get out of control & must remain safe for all, with no damage to the YMCA.

· Attend all staff meetings and training’s to ensure open communications of all policy and procedure changes.

· Know all emergency procedures. Ensure the safety of your group first, then assist lifeguards with EAP, an emergency occurs in the pool area.

· Report specific problems and needs to Aquatic Coordinator.

· Report to duty 45 minutes prior to scheduled start time of any/all parties you are scheduled to host. Tardiness will not be tolerated.

· Remain after party until all guest have left, and clean party room & return to normal condition

· Responsible for punching in/out at the time clock and signing in/out of the Aquatic Payroll Log Book. (At Pool Staff counter)

· Observe and enforce all existing rules and regulations of the facility in a CONSISTENT AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER.

· Responsible for finding a substitute if unable to work scheduled hours. Notify Aquatic Coordinator of “who” will cover your scheduled party.

· Refer any detailed inquires and complaints to the Aquatic Coordinator.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $11.50 per hour
