Skilled Nursing Facility, Central New York Region:
A beautiful Skilled Nursing Facility located in the Central New York region is currently seeking a Full-Time Food Service Supervisor. Very competitive Salary & benefit’s package based on experience.
The candidate should have:
Experience in Food Service & Kitchen Management in a Long Term Care setting.
Knowledge of CMS & New York State Dietary regulations
Proper Food Handler’s Certification, including Serv-Safe
Ability to direct and lead Dietary staff
Must be able to multi-task & Improvise if necessary
Candidate Responsibilities Include:
Manages & Directs Daily operation of the Kitchen
Works closely with the Diet-Tech & Registered Dietitian
Responsible for Staff Scheduling
Ordering & purchasing of items on Menu on weekly or as needed basis while staying within budget.
Monitors inventory control & proper rotation of items
Checks for dates on items in Fridges, Stock-Room & etc. to ensure freshness
Delegates tasks & provides direction to Personnel
Provides Education & In-Services as needed.
Meal & Menu Planning
Hiring of Personnel if needed
Has the ability to hold staff accountable when necessary, including discipline or termination if warranted.
Reviews Weekly Time cards to ensure that staff are showing up to shift on time and clocking out on time.
Monitors staff & implements systems & structures if need be to ensure staff are completing tasks in an efficient manner.
Will monitor preparation of nourishments, supplements & etc.
Attends the daily AM Report & interacts with other Interdisciplinary Staff as needed to review clinical or prepare for events.
