The Graham Company is Hiring a Sales Executive, National Accounts Near Philadelphia, PA

Graham Company is an insurance brokerage and consulting firm committed to creating a healthy, safe, and prosperous tomorrow. We value empathy, discipline, integrity, courage, and tenacity – and we are seeking candidates who share these values to join our team.

We are recruiting for an experienced Sales Executive to join our National Accounts team. The main responsibility of the Sales Executive is to find, engage and develop contacts with new clients and retain quality customers for The Graham Company. In addition, Sales Executives work closely with Account Managers, Claims Consultants and Surety on the renewal of their existing accounts.

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop Quality Accounts: A Sales Executive should solicit accounts that meet Graham Company underwriting and revenue criteria. Subsequently, the Sales Executive will be responsible for producing minimum annual revenue amounts.
  2. Prepare Survey and Analysis on New Business: With few exceptions, the Sales Executive will use independent discretion and judgment to prepare and present a Survey and Analysis of a prospect’s current insurance policies.
  3. Market Account in First Year: On new business, the Sales Executive has the responsibility to use independent discretion and judgment for preparing an Underwriting Submission, as well as marketing the account to insurance companies. The Sales Executive is also responsible for preparing and presenting the written proposal to the insured.

Work with Account Managers throughout Renewal Process: The Sales Executive should work with Account Managers to be sure that accounts are satisfactorily managed through the annual policy period and are being renewed properly and that the broadest coverage is obtained for the insured at a reasonable premium. The Sales Executive should spot-check the Account Manager’s renewals, letters, billings, etc. to be sure their accounts are being serviced in a thorough and timely manner.
  5. The Sales Executive is also responsible for supporting the Account Manager to develop a close working relationship with their accounts. The Sales Executive works closely with the Account Managers to bond the Account Manager to the account.
  6. Assist in Claims Advocacy Process: The Claims Services Department handles the majority of claims situations. However, in unusual or sensitive claim situations where the Claims Services Department requests the assistance of the Sales Executive, the Sales Executive should work with the insured and/or the insurance carrier. The Sales Executive also assists in evaluating trends and identifying ways loss performance can improve.
  7. Collection of Premiums: The Sales Executive has the ultimate responsibility for the collection of premiums on an account.
  8. Additional Services: The Graham Company may request the Sales Executive’s services in connection with assignments not directly related to the job of the Sales Executive. Such occasional assignments (e.g., acting as an insurance company liaison) are construed to be for the general good of the agency.
  9. Pursue a program for personal and professional development and maintain appropriate state licenses.
  10. Perform other duties and projects assigned by The Graham Company managerial personnel.
  11. Attend meetings relating to your position.
