The Goddard School in Independence, Ohio is seeking a Full-Time Infant Teacher (6weeks - 12 months) to join our team! Experience and education in Early Childhood Education and/or Childcare is preferred, but we understand that life experience counts for a lot. This position requires a loving and nurturing spirit, superior communication skills, and excellent judgement. We also highly value a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to stay cool under pressure. A love for children and their families is an absolute must! Responsibilities
Our teachers work as part of a teaching team to encourage a positive learning environment for all children within the School. Responsibilities include the following:

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
• Supporting each child’s social and emotional development
• Establishing positive and effective family relationships
• Working with the assistant teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma
• Prior childcare or eldercare experience
• Must pass FBI/BCI background checks and drug test
• Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty
• Works productively without supervision
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal
