An Assistant Teacher/Floater at The Goddard School is responsible for maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment; Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence; Supports each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance; Establishes positive and effective family relations; Ensures an effective program; Responsive to children’s needs; Maintains professional commitment. Additionally, Assistant Teachers are responsible for working together with the entire faculty in implementing their lesson plans.
Assistant Teacher/Floater Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED certified
Be able to help implement lesson plans, training on sight
Prior classroom experience preferred not required. Will train on sight
Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
