Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Activities Director to join our team and enrich the lives of our r
clients through engaging in and scheduling meaningful activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with anmbulatory dementia clients and recreational therapy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a diverse activities program to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents
- Coordinate and lead group activities such as games, crafts, outings, and exercise classes
- Provide individualized attention to clients based on their interests and abilities
- Stay informed about current trends in senior care and recreational therapy
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, dementia or related fields
- Knowledge of aging issues counseling
- Familiarity with memory care principles and dementia care techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with seniors
- Background in recreational therapy is a plus
