JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Associate checks inventory daily, removes out of date items, puts loaded pallets into cooler, culls/stocks/restocks items, maintains displays.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Promptly, at the start of the shift, the employee will review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.

· The Associate cleans and sanitizes all work surfaces, all tools and equipment, all display cases, and all floors and counters.

JOB TASKS:

Task 1. The Associate culls/stocks/restocks items continually.

Task 2. The Associate moves loaded pallets from receiving to the cooler.

Task 3. The Associate trims/wraps/seals greens, puts down ice, rearranges produce, wraps melons, and continually maintains displays.

Task 4. The Associate collects and dumps trash.

Task 5. The Associate loads cases from pallet onto U boat or other cart, takes items to displays and loads displays.

Task 6. The Associate cuts or hits cartons to flatten them, stacks them on U boat, pushes U boat to bailer and loads cardboard into the bailer.

Task 7. The Associate cleans and sanitizes all work surfaces, all tools and equipment, all display cases, and all floors and counters.
Task 8. The Associate performs record keeping functions as assigned by Department Manager.

Task 9. The Associate tracks and records loss.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS SPECIFICATIONS:

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

· Must be authorized to work in the US.

· Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with Company policies and safety regulations.

· Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.

· Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.

· Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.

· Must be able to perform all job functions safely.

· Must meet the company performance standards for the job.

· Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.

JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Must have & maintain valid any specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.

GENERAL RULES:

· Report ALL ACCIDENTS & file incident report to the Supervisor within 24 hours.

· Get first aid IMMEDIATELY for ALL injuries.

· Follow instructions. Whenever in doubt, ASK.

· Report unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.

· Apparel & footwear must follow the company policy.

· Horseplay is forbidden.

· No running on the premises.

· Know emergency evacuation routes, exits, and alarms.

· Employees must wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) where required, including cut-resistant gloves when handling knives or blades.

· Employees should demonstrate proper Food Safety and Sanitation work habits.

· Use proper lifting procedures.

· Keep floors and work areas clear and clean.

· Never leave running machinery unattended.

· This is a smoke free shop. Smoking in designated areas.

· Employees are responsible for understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the Policy and Procedure Manual and the Employee Manual.

· Know MSDS information about all materials used during work.

· Must complete & follow “Lockout/Tagout” training.

· Must complete & follow “Confined Space” training.

· Must complete “Right-to-Know” training.
