Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving deli products, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Duties:
- Prepare and serve deli products such as sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
- Assist customers in selecting and ordering deli items
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure the quality and freshness of products
- Stock shelves, refrigerators, and display cases with deli items
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving any issues promptly
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the deli department

Requirements:
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a Deli Associate is preferred
- Knowledge of retail math and ability to operate a POS system
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating portion sizes
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
- Culinary training or certification is a plus
