What we are looking for:

At Stem, Human Resources (HR) is focused on understanding what people need and knowing how to provide it. We are in search of a qualified and resourceful HR generalist to support our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations.

The HR Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, such as support and guidance to team members and management of HR related matters. This position will function as a key point of contact and a trusted advisor to supported stakeholders. The ability to build and sustain partnerships with employees and leadership will be critical for success.

Responsibilities:

* Function as a trusted advisor to hourly (non-exempt) staff and provide an effective service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.

* Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, conduct investigations, and facilitate conflict resolution. Promote a positive workplace culture and function as a champion of employee engagement initiatives.

* Using the HRIS system, assist with the processing of employee changes, promotions, disciplinary action, etc.

* Support stakeholders as the initial point of contact in answering benefits-related queries and provide guidance and direction to leave requests, in partnership with Sr. Global Benefits Manager.

* Partner with the HR team to successfully execute all HR cycle processes (Goal Setting, Talent Review, Mid-Year, Talent Development Plans, Annual Salary Review, etc.) and ensure HR system updates are completed in a timely manner.

* Assist in the development and execution of personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations.

* Contribute to HR projects such as policy reviews, diversity and inclusion initiatives, or organizational development efforts in partnership with HR peers and leadership.

* Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole, and to improve employee experience.

* Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field

* 5 years' corporate HR experience,

* HR experience supporting hourly, retail, customer support, or manufacturing environments preferred but not required.

* Additional HR training or certifications a plus but not required

* Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness

* Comfortability handling highly confidential information

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

* Ability to deliver high-level customer service, displaying a positive company image and a positive attitude

* Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed

* Knowledge of HR Federal laws and regulations

Salary Range

$83,700.00 - $117,250.00
