We are seeking a part-time Welcome Desk Representative who is a passionate, dedicated, and customer service-oriented individual. You will be the first point of contact for our members, guests, and potential members, hence, a key representative of our YMCA values.

Responsibilities:

• Warmly welcome members, answer their queries, and guide them through the facility.
• Process membership sign-ups, renewals
• Handle incoming phone calls, and direct them to appropriate staff.
• Maintain an organized front desk.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, and managing member accounts.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and clean environment by following organizational standards and safety regulations.
• Actively participate in YMCA events and programs.
• Ensure that all interactions with members and staff are positive and respectful.

Requirements:

• Must be bilingual - Proficiency in English and Spanish is required to cater to our diverse member base. Another Languages are welcome as well.
• 18 and older
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle and resolve conflicts in a professional and respectful manner.
• Basic computer skills, familiarity with database management systems is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• This job is for both our Elizabeth and Rahway location. Please specify if you can work both or only one.
