Currently I have an opening for a Lab Support Specialist located in Bothell, WA. Details for the position are as follows :

Job Description :

• Act as the backup for gas management staff : assisting with all gas exchanges, installations, and performing all duties while gas manager is absent.
• To coordinate the provision of lab services (e.g., gases / LN2 / dry ice / deep cleans) by liaison with lab support services staff.

This includes helping lab gas management team to move heavy dewars / cylinders to the designated locations.

• Conduct thorough decontamination using hazardous materials on designated equipment to eliminate harmful pathogens or contaminants.
• Follow established protocols and guidelines for decontamination processes to ensure compliance with safety measures, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Employ appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, gowns, and respiratory protection (full face respirator;

PAPR), while performing decontamination tasks.

• Handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials or biohazardous substances in accordance with legal and organizational guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and tools regularly to ensure functioning properly and initiate necessary repairs or replacements.
• HS with 3 years, Associates, or bachelor’s with 1 years of experience within a laboratory setting handling and testing of chemicals / gases.

Technical Information :

• Pay : 30-32 hourly, depending on experience level
• Onsite, M-F, 8am-5pm
• 6-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to permanent.
