• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university or college in Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Fundamental accounting knowledge and journal entry experience required.
• Experience in a manufacturing organization preferred.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and in 10 key operation.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
• Must have the ability to read and write complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Must be able to work and train remotely, manage time accordingly to achieve deadlines, and proactively seek training when it is needed.

Job Description:Support the accounting close process for four manufacturing facilities in the Consumer West RegionApproximate length of work: ASAP October 2023 - March 2024 (possible extensions)************************************************************************************************************************Performs professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation and analysis of financial data. May include any or all of the following: ledgers and preparation of journal entries; fixed asset or inventory accounting; preparation of trial balance or financial statements; cost accounting; bank account reconciliation and other related areas. Performs general or cost accounting activities requiring some insight into the 'why' as well as the 'how'. Develops internal reports as required. Analyzes trends in plant overhead and sales/gross profit. Prepares balance sheet analysis. Applies accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions. Specifics of job content will vary from preparing journal entries, checking supporting entries, to carrying out well-defined steps in cost accounting. Coordinates timely completion of month-end closing.
