Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm

The Patient Support Services department is seeking an Interpretation Coordinator, reporting to the Associate Director, Language Services.

Duties:

• Prepare the anticipated daily schedule of interpretations for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients and visitors for the department throughout the continuum of the patient’s care, creating and maintaining portions of the patient’s corresponding recordkeeping.
• Coordinate the Assignment of On-Site and Remote Interpreters, and the Movement of On-Site Interpreters as Required Throughout the Workday.
• Schedule the Department’s Interpreter Workload, Assigning Upcoming Interpretations to On-Site and Remote Interpreters, as Appropriate.
• Coordinate interpreter assignments including communicating any changes to staff and agency in-person interpreters.
• Communicates with clinical and administrative staff regarding resource allocation, changes to services, and provides reeducation leveraging departmental dashboards and data sources (eg. Connection times, interpreter availability).
• Throughout the workday, monitoring interpreter status dashboard to assign, reassign, requesting additional outside agency support, or dismissing such support, as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation and produces necessary reports

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
• Strong Excel and Data Management Skills
• 2-3 years of experience in a health care setting

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
