Technology Teacher/Integrator (Grades 3-6) - Leave Replacement

The Foote School is seeking a full-time Technology Teacher/ Integrator from August 22 to September 27, 2024. The Foote School is an independent K-9 co-ed day school in New Haven, Connecticut. We aim to endow students with timeless values while providing thoughtful experiences that will prepare them to learn, lead, and grow in the 21st century.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand and integrate multiple operating systems and the use of various technology tools, including:
  • Google Apps for Education
  • Smart Boards 
  • Chromebooks 
• Work directly with students to support the use of appropriate educational technology tools
• Develop and plan innovative lessons for technology classes taught in the lab (grades 3-6) using the following tools and programs:
  • Scratch
  • Sphero
  • Vex Robotics
  • CorelVector/Glowforge Laser Cutter
• Communicate with members of the Foote Science and Educational Technology Department in finding collaborative solutions for instructional needs.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree and/or advanced coursework in educational technology/technology education is preferred. 
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience is required.
