Job Description:

We are seeking a highly strategic and proactive Email Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about leveraging email as a key component in the marketing strategy, excels in audience segmentation, flow creation, and is adept at using data to drive engagement and conversion. The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing our email marketing strategy to enhance customer loyalty, acquisition, and retention. You are ideally data-driven, comfortable analyzing data sets, and adaptable to the needs of the marketing team with a flair for understanding cannabis brand trends. With at least a couple of years of experience in the cannabis field, you will bring valuable industry insights and practices to our team, helping us navigate and excel in this unique market.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Develop and implement comprehensive email marketing strategies to support company objectives, including customer acquisition, retention, and re-engagement.

• Design and execute targeted email marketing campaigns, focusing on segmentation, personalization, and optimization for performance.

• Manage and optimize email marketing flows to ensure effective customer journeys and touchpoints.

• Work closely with the Customer Data Platform (CDP) to segment audiences accurately and leverage insights for targeted campaigns.

• Continuously grow the email list through effective list-building strategies and initiatives.

• Monitor and analyze email campaign performance, utilizing A/B testing and other methodologies to improve engagement, deliverability, and conversion rates.

• Stay updated on email marketing trends, best practices, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM Act), implementing necessary adjustments to our strategy and practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive brand message and strategy across all customer touchpoints.

**Requirements:**

• 3 years of experience in email marketing, with a proven track record of developing successful email marketing strategies and campaigns.

• 2 years of experience working within the Cannabis Industry (ideally in FL, but open to other experiences).

• Genuine personal interest in cannabis

• Familiar with eCom website functionality and working with inventory levels to influence campaigns.

• Strong understanding of email marketing platforms, with a preference for candidates certified in Klaviyo.

- Experience working with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and integrating them with email marketing efforts for enhanced personalization and targeting - Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from data to inform strategies and decisions.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of the medical cannabis industry is a plus, with a keen understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities it presents.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Comfortable with presenting to multiple stakeholders within the team.

Cannabis industry experience is preferred.
