Advocacy

• Assumes the role of an ambassador in the branch to communicate the merits of the association to all individuals with whom he or she comes in contact.
• Understands his or her role as a representative of the association and projects a positive image at all times within the community.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and cordial attitude towards co-workers, volunteers, participants and their parents.
• Become proficient in the delivery of PLAYer, Par, Birdie
• Model First Tee Nine Core Values
• Maintain consistent and regular attendance
• Convey the Chapter’s brand image to the public
• Make the game fun for youth participants
• Conduct First Tee Certification
• Provide a safe environment for participants
• Adhere to the standards of First Tee Code of Conduct
• Be charismatic, personable, and motivational while working with the youth participants

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate strong organizational, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Adhere to the standards of conduct and involvement established by First Tee core values
• Knowledge of the game of golf
• Previous coaching/teaching role a plus

Requirements

• Completion of the YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Training, and satisfactory background check after hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Time management and prioritization skills
