Position Overview
The Federal Hotel is seeking a professional and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in providing a welcoming and efficient check-in/check-out process, addressing guest inquiries, and ensuring a memorable stay by adhering to Choice Hotel's procedures and policies. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a knack for problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Essential Functions
  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing a seamless check-in experience and informing them about the hotel's amenities and services.
  • Process guest check-outs efficiently, ensuring accuracy in billing and feedback collection.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly, providing accurate information about local attractions, dining options, and hotel facilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Choice Hotel's procedures and policies, ensuring compliance in all front desk operations.
  • Manage room reservations and availability using the hotel's booking system, accommodating guest preferences whenever possible.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure room readiness and address any issues or concerns.
  • Process payments and handle financial transactions securely, following all accounting procedures.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, contributing to a professional atmosphere.
  • Assist in handling emergencies or complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction and escalating to management as necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance job performance and knowledge of hotel operations.
Required Experience:
1 to 2 years
  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Familiarity with hotel reservation and booking software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • May require lifting of up to 15 pounds.
