Position Overview The Federal Hotel is seeking a professional and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in providing a welcoming and efficient check-in/check-out process, addressing guest inquiries, and ensuring a memorable stay by adhering to Choice Hotel's procedures and policies. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a knack for problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Essential Functions
Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing a seamless check-in experience and informing them about the hotel's amenities and services.
Process guest check-outs efficiently, ensuring accuracy in billing and feedback collection.
Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly, providing accurate information about local attractions, dining options, and hotel facilities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Choice Hotel's procedures and policies, ensuring compliance in all front desk operations.
Manage room reservations and availability using the hotel's booking system, accommodating guest preferences whenever possible.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure room readiness and address any issues or concerns.
Process payments and handle financial transactions securely, following all accounting procedures.
Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, contributing to a professional atmosphere.
Assist in handling emergencies or complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction and escalating to management as necessary.
Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance job performance and knowledge of hotel operations.
Required Experience: 1 to 2 years
Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in a hotel setting.
Familiarity with hotel reservation and booking software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
