JOB PURPOSE | The Financial Analyst is the key finance support for the finance team. This is a challenging and rewarding role which requires strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. |
JOB SUMMARY | The primary responsibilities of this role include a variety of finance tasks for our Workforce and Economic Development practice area companies. These tasks include, and not limited to preparation of the annual budget, and the following monthly actual vs. budget variance analyses, developing budgets for individual contracts, as well as tracking the financial performance of all contracts of the select companies. This role relies on exceptional communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, ability to work independently with set goals, and being organized with multiple tasks to prioritize. . |
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS | |
1. | Perform as an integral component of the client's management team by developing effective working relationships, influencing, and challenging the management team on their personal styles, and the development and delivery of their talent plans in support of the achievement of the business area aligned to HR strategies. |
2. | Based on the client’s business line, recommend, coordinate, and implement policies and programs that are in alignment with the agency's strategic direction. Provide project management support and HR expertise to the business on specific initiatives. |
3. | Identifies people issues in partnership with business clients provide advice and expertise to resolve those matters; Help support the delivery of the business lines’ Key Performance Indicators. |
4. | Ensures strategic recruitment and placement of highly qualified candidates in accordance with budgets and role requirements by meeting with department heads/hiring managers to understand the position as well as business needs. Partner with the business to develop outreach strategies to create a pipeline of candidates to address current and future needs. Manages the recruitment process of all positions throughout your client area. |
5. | Creates and reviews job descriptions, in conjunction with the Division Executive, and evaluates against the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) classifications (Exempt or Non-Exempt) to determine the appropriate classification and job status. |
6. | Investigates employee situations, consult as well as counsel department managers regarding these matters and facilitate appropriate corrective actions up to possible termination. |
7. | Conducts exit interviews with staff who resign and analyzes data for patterns and or areas that should be addressed by senior management. |
8. | Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding human resources subject areas and makes recommendations for changes when necessary. |
9. | Functions as an ambassador for The Fedcap Group. |
10. | Contributes to organization success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team results. |
