Currently, we are seeking a bubbly/outgoing full-time optical associate. It is a must that the candidate has at least 1 year of retail and/or medical receptionist experience, and having an optical background is preferred, but not required.
Duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and assist them with finding eyeglasses and sun glasses
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and sales events
- Process transactions and order eyeglass lenses and contact lenses accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
-Arrange displays
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends
-Answer phones and schedule appointments
Requirements:
- Previous experience in sales, optical, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of medical billing systems, insurance verification, or medical records is a plus
We offer competitive compensation, including hourly pay plus commission. Furthermore, we offer a free annual eye exam in addition to an employee discount on eyeglasses and sunglasses.
Schedule
Closed: Sunday and Wednesday;
Tuesday and Friday: 10am-6pm;
Monday and Thursday: 12pm-8pm; and
Saturday: 9am-4pm.
