Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Credentialing Specialist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare credentialing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of credentialing processes and regulations, excellent organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
-Manage the credentialing process for healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
-Verify the credentials of healthcare professionals, including education, training, licensure, and certifications.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider files and databases to include CAQH.
-Communicate with healthcare providers and external organizations to obtain necessary documentation and information.
-Collaborate with internal teams to streamline credentialing processes and improve efficiency.
-Keep a schedule of all important dates for recredentialing of all groups and providers.
-Ensure all credentialing applications are followed up on a timely basis.
-Stay current on industry trends and changes in credentialing requirements.
-Assist billing manager with overflow.
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare credentialing.
-Knowledge of credentialing standards and regulations.
-Some knowledge in billing procedures helpful.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and credentialling software.
