Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
About The Role:
Registered Nurse needed to work in an established practice full time doing pre op/PACU. The Registered Nurse provides ongoing assessment and nursing care to patients in the facility in accordance with Physician’s orders, policies, procedures, and processes within the scope of practice. Participates in the teaching of patients and family and provides leadership by working cooperatively with the other health care team members. Collaborates with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Performs nursing care for the patient in the immediate post-operative/post-anesthesia period, assessing and documenting the patient’s status upon arrival in the recovery room. Provides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered, monitoring patient and informing the surgeon or anesthetist of observed complications. Must have an active Louisiana RN license.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, no weekends!
