We are seeking a full-time surgical coordinator for our Surgery Center in Sarasota, FL. The surgical coordinator The surgical coordinator will coordinate and manage various aspects of the surgical process to ensure efficiency and a positive patient experience. All skill levels are welcome to apply. *Overtime may be required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Compile and organize surgical charts, ensuring all necessary documents are included.
• Review surgical plans, IOL calculation sheets, demographic forms, and past surgery records.
• Collect additional information as required for comprehensive pre-operative preparation.
• Print surgical packets and patient labels, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Review patient insurance details, particularly for devices and medications utilized in surgery.
• Answer telephone calls, addressing surgical inquiries and providing information on surgery arrival times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in a related field is a plus.
• A valid and active Driver’s License.
• Prior experience in a surgical or healthcare coordination role is preferred but not mandatory.
