Responsibilities

Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervising authority, contributing to the overall success of the Special Events team. Qualifications :

• Knowledge normally acquired through a bachelor’s degree and have 1-2 years of work experience (either as an employee or intern) in an office setting, preferably in development, alumni, special events, public relations, and / or marketing.
• Intermediate / advanced proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) required; familiarity with The Raiser’s Edge database or a comparable fundraising database preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Superior writing skills.
• Strong work ethic, team-orientation, and excellent judgement.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to effectively communicate and establish credibility with diverse audiences, including physicians, scientists, faculty, alumni, and donors.
• Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
• A desire to learn and an interest in growing responsibilities.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends as events may require.
