New Country Pride Camp is a unique, five-week program specifically for LGBTQ kids and kids from LGBTQ families. NCPC campers and staff will experience all our classic New Country Day Camp activities like swimming and art, plus participate in specialized programming designed to help them build community and investigate what it means to be LGBTQ in the world today. New Country Pride Camp is a division of New Country Day Camp that operates M – F, 8:00am – 5:00pm, and provides transportation for staff and campers to and from our campgrounds on Staten Island via multiple locations throughout Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. NCPC is a neurodiverse camp community, and all staff members are responsible for supporting neurodivergent and neurotypical campers and staff to have successful summers

JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Support Program Manager, Support Supervisors play a pivotal role in coordinating and supervising our disability-inclusive model that provides extra support to campers with additional social/emotional/behavioral/mental health needs (includes diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADD/ADHD, mood or anxiety disorders, sensory processing issues, etc.). Support Supervisors ensure that all campers can experience the joy of camp in the most inclusive, least restrictive environment possible.
