Enbridge Gas Ohio is hiring a Measurement Engineering Technical Specialist III who will improve the reliability of our pipeline system by providing accurate gas measurement, gas quality, and control to support the EGO system. The Specialist will also be responsible for the independent design, procure, and commission of Gas Measurement and Control Systems, Measurement and Regulation Systems, and other technical projects. Here’s what you will do: Provide technical insight and expertise as a SME related to Gas Measurement and Control Systems for internal customers such as the Transmission Storage & Design Business Unit, Business Development Unit, and Gas Operations. Provide Project Management support and for all Gas Measurement and Control related projects and Budgetary Management for Gas Measurement and Control. Provide expert technical engineering support, mentorship and coordination for Gas Measurement and Control G555 Employees, Technical Specialists and Technicians in Gas Measurement and Control, Telecomm, Operations, and Gas Control. Apply knowledge and technical skills to provide technical project management, design and procurement of materials and technical direction to craft and contractor personnel. Perform technical and engineering evaluations, calculations, analysis, and design to support the requirements of the designated company area or specific discipline. Provide expert technical support, direction, and advice in analyzing and evaluating plant systems, equipment, and programs. Manage M&C projects across Ohio throughout design, construction, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance phases. Support A&C and Telecomm when requested. Support M&C Operations Team in following areas: Ensure accurate measurement for C&I, production and in the storage field & stations. Maintain the accuracy and performance associated with gas measurement including metering, NGL dew point analysis, chromatographs, and spot sampling. Ensure that all audits and inspections are in accordance with established criteria and meet all tariff and SOP requirements. Ensure that Gas Measurement is compliant with the Customer requested meter challenge process and criteria including annual calibration of test equipment. Perform periodic review of vendor proposals for goods and services to ensure compliance with Measurement and Operational standards. Train and develop GM&C personnel and provide field support across the organization integrating A&C, Telecomm, storage, production, and high pressure/high volume measurement functions. Provide input into the GM&C, Measurement, and Telecomm training and development. Who you are: You have: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. A valid driver’s license. In-depth knowledge of engineering principals, theories, and practices. An ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline. An ability to design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline. Strong oral, written, and graphical communication skills including technical writing; ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature. Excellent personal computer skills including knowledge of applicable software programs. You can: Conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments while able to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes. Function effectively independently and as a member on a technical team. Excellent organization and project management skills. Preferred Assets: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, including but not limited to: Biology Chemistry Computer Science Engineering Engineering Technology Mathematics Physics Working Conditions: Office environment up to 25%. Work is performed in all weather conditions and environments, including high traffic urban areas as well as rural off-road areas.
