SKILLS/EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED required. Prior experience with customer service in the disability or aging field necessary. Certification in First Aid and Adult CPR, or willingness to attend training required. Must be organized, possess time and personnel management skills, and work well in group settings. Presentation and communication (both written and verbal) abilities required. May be required to obtain other certification trainings such as Certified Nursing Assistance (CNA) or Home Health Aid (HHA).

DUTIES:

To provide customers with assistance in transitional living services as outlined in the customer’s support plans and/or as instructed by supervisor;

To assist with or instruct on dressing, grooming, and hygiene;

To assist with or instruct in meal preparation;

To assist with or instruct in administer medications as directed by a physician;

To assist with or instruct in creating a clean, safe environment;

To assist with or provide community participation, as scheduled or outlined;

To assist with or instruct in performing laundry duties and housekeeping;

To keep and record documentation of all activities and events;

To conduct and participate in on-going emergency action drills;

Be available for crisis intervention and consultation;

To attend staff meetings

Required to participate in lifting and transferring of customers. Will be required to transport customers to community events and activities.
