Overview:

Must have prior law enforcement experience or possess a valid NC PPSB-issued armed guard card

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as licensed Armed Security Officers for a religious-based conference center and resort. As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our clients' premises. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires reliability, good judgment, excellent soft skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work different shifts, including weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vehicular patrols of campus areas to ensure the security and safety of personnel and property
- Conduct regular foot patrols of facilities and buildings
- Monitor CCTV cameras and surveillance systems to detect any suspicious activities
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns
- Enforce access control procedures, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises
- Conduct thorough inspections of bags, packages, and personal belongings to prevent unauthorized items from entering the facility
- Maintain accurate records of all security-related activities, including incident reports and daily logs
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary
Qualifications:
- Must have either prior law enforcement experience or possess a valid armed guard card issued by the NC PPSB
- Previous experience in law enforcement, military, or security-related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques, and access control procedures
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proficient in first aid and CPR procedures
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and techniques
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
