POSITION TITLE/DEPARTMENT: Education Programs Intern
CLASSIFICATION/GRADE: Part-time, Non-Exempt, Temporary (12 weeks)
SALARY RANGE: 24 hours per week, $16.50 per hour
GENERAL SUMMARY
As an established and respected organization, the DIA is an excellent place for interns to explore interests in museums and non-profits. Beyond learning about the art collections, interns are able to contribute to everything that helps the museum run smoothly. Interns will work under the guidance and supervision of a DIA professional on a specific project with established learning outcomes. The Education Program Intern will assist with Learning Resource development for upcoming exhibitions.
Projects and Tasks Include:
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates must be studying at an undergraduate sophomore level or above in one of the following fields of study at an accredited college or university: art history, museum education, education (K-12), fine arts or a related field.
Candidates should possess strong written communication skills. Experience with lesson plan/curriculum development is preferred.
Proficiency in the latest version of Office 365, including SharePoint, Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel is required.
This internship is blended and will include on site and virtual work.
