The DePaul Group is Hiring a Construction Materials Quality Control Technician Near Plymouth Meeting, PA
Highway Materials, Inc. is looking for an experienced Construction Materials Quality Control Technician to join their team at the Plymouth Meeting Quarry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform standard tests on mineral aggregates to monitor the quality of the product being supplied to the customers and that said products meet state DOT and other related specifications
- Monitor and test materials daily to ensure products meet or exceed requirements
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure equipment is in good working condition
- Ensure that equipment is in proper working order prior to test and the test is conducted according to standard procedures
- Periodically inspects and maintains aggregate testing equipment
- Responsible for reporting any product irregularities to the Plant Supervisors
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and prior relevant work experience
- Ability to read and use measuring devices
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- Frequently required to work more than 8 hours a day/more than 5 days a week
- Basic knowledge of standard test methods normally conducted to evaluate construction aggregates
- Complete knowledge of the operation of equipment used for these tests and be able to maintain such equipment and recognize the equipment limitations
- Ability to utilize the database for monitoring and tracking aggregate quality
- Ability to understand both verbal and written instructions
- Ability to complete the test report forms and understand and complete the basic arithmetic required by the test methods
- Communicate quality problems to Operations Supervisory Personnel
