- Inspect machinery and develop a scope of repairs
- Clean, lubricate and repair physical plant and equipment
- Ability to notice a problem and make needed repairs
- Perform the full range of tasks associated with welding
- Ability to work well with others, attention to detail
- Respond to emergency repair situations
- Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean, organized and in good working conditions
- High School Diploma (or GED) and prior relevant job experience
- Valid/Clean Driver’s License
- Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
